What if my family has two swimmers, one we want to make the discounted annual payment and another we want to make quaterly payments? There is no second swimmer discount in this case. Pay $1200 for one swimmer, and the $460 quarterly payments for the other. If your family has more than two swimmers, then the 2nd swimmer discount applies to whichever option you have two or more swimmers in.
Where do we make quarterly payments? No need to reregister each quarter. Pay for quarters 2 & 3 on the team store (or through Venmo or Zelle once we set open them up).
What if we just want to do the summer program only? No problem, only register and pay for the 4th quarter. We will open up a separate registration for families wishing to participate on the summer swim teams only.
What if we just want to do Quarters 1 & 2, skip Quarter 3 for a spring sport, but then join the summer programming? Again, no problem. Just register and pay in September for Quarter 1, pay for Quarter 2 on the team store, take a swimming break Quarter 3, then reregister and pay for the summer program in Quarter 4.
Is there a high school swimmer discount? Yes, but only in Quarter 2. High school swimmers only pay 50%. For 2026 - 2027 that is $230. Please note, paying the $1200 annual fee is still less than if you pay for Qtr 1, Qtr 2 high school, Qtr 3, and Qtr 4 summer separately.
What about USA Swimming registration? It is included in your annual or quarterly payments. We register and pay for all swimmers in bulk.
What about the summer pool memberships? Yes, there will still be a summer pool membership requirement that is a separate fee. The team sees no funds from that, it is a township requirement.
What happens in the summer for year-round STEP swimmers? For our year round annual or quarterly swimmers, they must choose between GPS & EAC summer swim teams. There will be no separate STEP practices during these months. Swimmers are not required to compete in summer meets, although we hope everyone does. However, STEP practices are GPS & EAC practices during May/June/July.
Do summer only swimmers need to be USA Swimming registered? No. If they are only participating during the summer program dates and only competing at PJSL meets, then there is no requirement to be USA Swimming registered.
What is the difference between STEP, GPS, and EAC? Think about them as STEP/GPS & STEP/EAC. Summer teams are administratively run by STEP, but operate as separate teams in the PennJersey Swim League with separate websites. Each needs to provide their own volunteers/officials and a separate roster for PJSL summer swim meets. Therefore, GPS & EAC will still need volunteer parent boards on each to ensure they run efficiently.
What if STEP does a USA swimming meet sometime in May to July? If we attend a summer USA Swimming meet, we attend as STEP. STEP is the parent organization, GPS & EAC are subprograms within the larger organization.
